Knott who also authored “Dial M for Murder” and “Write Me a Murder,” concerns three underworld figures who attempt to recover a doll filled with heroin which was innocently transported by a young photographer. This man’s blind wife is subsequently terrorized by the men who would stop at nothing to recover the drugs.
