The Rappahannock Water and Sewer Authority scheduled the long awaited groundbreaking ceremony for the Sperryville Sewage System for March 4 at 2 p.m. The Authority members decided during their meeting on February 7 to invite U.S. Senators Trible and Warner, Congressman French Slaughter, Governor Charles S. Robb, State Attorney General Gerald Baliles, Senator Kevin Miller, Delegate Raymond “Andy” Guest and the Board of Supervisors to the ceremony.
The WSA also discussed final preparations for the system during their meeting. Doug Baumgardner, legal counsel for the Authority, advised the members that condemnation proceed
