Artist Forum On Friday, February 22, an Artists’ Forum and potluck supper will be held at 6:30 p.m. at Blackwater Homestead, home of Sid and Margaret Gottlieb. The meeting will explore ways in which RAAC can be more supportive to local artists. Any interested musicians (pop and classical), dancers, dramatists, writers, visual artists and craftspersons are invited to attend and share their ideas. Alcoholics Anonymous Meetings Alcoholics Anonymous will begin meeting in Sperryville on Monday evenings at 8:30 in the Baptist Church basement on Rt. 211. These meetings are “open” which means that friends and family members are welcome.
^ EMT Refresher Course There will be an Emergency Medical Training refresher course at the Flint Hill Firehouse on February 18 at 8 p.m. Call Frank Huff (675-3389) or the EMS office in Culpeper (825-6849) to pre-register for the course. Call the EMS office for information on other courses offered, too.
‘The Country Fair’ The Rappahannock’s Woman’s Club will be presenting its annual fashion show on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. at the Rappahannock Elementary School. This years show will feature fashions from Frank’s and Warren Quality Shop in Front Royal and Jack and Jill in Culpeper. The show, “The Country Fair” will benefit the club’s annual scholarship and the Women’s Abuse Shelter in Culpeper. Ticket prices are $2.50 for adults and $1.50 for children in advance; $3 and $2 at the door. Tickets may be purchased from any member.
