Mildred Lenora Clanagan pled guilty in General District Court Tuesday to driving on a suspended license, and received a sentence that Judge John Alexander termed “good for her and the community.”
Judge Alexander fined Clanagan $100 in addition to $20 costs, suspended her operator’s license for 90 days and imposed a 10 day jail sentence with eight days of the sentence suspended. Clanagan was to serve the two days in jail on a weekend, but Judge Alexander asked her if she would be willing to spend two consecutive Saturdays working with a program in Warrenton that takes care of handicapped children for the day. After Clanagan said that she would work in the program, Judge Alexander changed the sentence accordingly.
