sons and their families. Hospice services are available in both the home and inpatient hospital settings to all men and women, without regard to race or ability to pay. Home care is provided on a part time, scheduled basis without charge to the patient or family. Hospice exists to provide support care for persons in the last phases of incurable diseases, so that they may live as fully and comfortably as possible.
A new training program will take place during the month of March. Two programs will be held for the Rappahannock/Culpeper area at the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church on Tuesday and Friday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., and another course will be held for the Madison/Orange area on Wednesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Orange Nursing Home.
Men and women interested in taking the training course, and willing to volunteer some of their time to the Hospice of the Rapidan, are asked to call the hospice office at 825-4840 for further information. The programs will be under the direction of Rosemary Sheatsley of Madison County, education chairman.
