In the varsity game, Wakefield played evenly against Seton during the first quarter but the well-disciplined Seton team, led by the Vander Woude brothers, opened up the game and led 35 to 22 at the half.
During the final quarter of play, Wakefield played an aggressive game and was able to narrow the gap, but Seton prevailed and won 62-48.
Impressive performances were turned in by Steve and Danny Vander Woude who scored a total of 46 points for Seton. Wakefield’s Joey Tisinger and Russell Rowzie scored 14 points each for the Owls.
