for the doors is done by White Oak Forge in The Plains, and if the clients want, hand made copper lamps can be included. Any additions that the clients want are done, and the cabins are made with modern conveniences. “We totally finish them on the inside and outside,’’ said Robinson. “When we are finished, the cabins are superior to any other cabin alternative.”

Robinson is careful not only about the work on the cabins, but about who the cabins are sold to. “I am picky about who I work for, and I take my time in matching the right people with the right cabin,” said Robinson. Robinson does not like cutting comers to save a little money, so it has taken a while for his business to show a profit. “As long as I can get enough money to pay the bills, though, I will stay with the business,” Robinson said.

Robinson’s love for the work and his excitement in the discovery and rebuilding of a piece of history is evident in the finished cabins. “I make sure everything is done right because I don’t like making mistakes,” Robinson said.
