Bus drivers requested a pay step system with three to four steps in drivers’ salaries. Massie pointed out that after the teachers’ salaries were indexed the Board had decided to move into making a step system for all employees each year.
An index system has been developed for employees like custodians for 1985-86. “We have worked many months on the others, and we would need to take some time to develop a system for the drivers,” Massie said. The Board tabled the drivers’ request.
