The benefit that Oliver said should be considered first would be payment 1 of the retirement cost that e^ery employee has to pay now. “If we put the 1 dollar there, we would give a dollar to 1
the teachers to spend,” Oliver said.
Nichols said that he believed that most of the personnel would rather have the increase in salary. “They’d rather have the dollar in hand so that they have the flexibility to use it as they want,” Nichols said.
“It is a form of security since it , keeps more money in the pocket,” Massie said. “It is the basis of something that they will have in the future so I endorse picking up the cost of retirement.”
