Clarence (Ted) Jackson Nicholson, 58, of Front Royal, died Friday, March 15 in Winchester Medical Center.
Funeral services were conducted on Monday at Rivermont Baptist Church by the Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Hoover Heflin. Burial was in Panorama Memorial. Gardens.
Mr. Nicholson was bom August 6, 1926, at Sperryville, son of the late Hubert J. and Fannie Estell Jenkins Nicholson. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy.
He was a charter member of Rivermont Baptist Church, where he had served as past superintendent of the Sunday School, church deacon and member of the board of trustees.
Surviving are his wife, Freida Heflin Nicholson; three daughters, Patsy N. Brown Hill of Bainbridge, Ga., Benita E. Nicholson of Valdosta, Ga. and D. Clarice Nicholson, at home; a brother, William E. Nicholson of Front Royal and a sister, Dorothy Reynolds of Centreville.
Tumer-Robertshaw Funeral Home in Front Royal was in charge of the arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Front Royal chapter of the Gideons.
