The council members discussed briefly the appointments to be made when the town’s board of zoning appeals and planning commission ordinances are approved. The Circuit Court judge will appoint the five members of the town’s BZA, and the Town Council will appoint the planning commission members.
“I think that we need to start thinking about our recommendations for people because all of them will have to come from the town,” Miller said. Three more people will also be needed for the town’s architectural review board.
The ordinances will be the subjects discussed during a public hearing on Wednesday, March 27 at the Washington Courthouse at 8 p.m.
Before adjourning, the council members approved payment of a $1,200 bill for work on the town’s water pipes located beneath the streets.
