Presently the following counties are in quarantine: Arlington, Clarke, Culpeper, Fairfax, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Page, Prince William, Rappahannock, Stafford, Warren, and part of Madison County.
Rappahannock County will be involved in a banding program this spring that will help identify exactly where we stand in the way of infestation. If eradication measures are needed in the future, the data we collect now will help with more in-depth costshare programs.
I must emphasize the bands will not eradicate the moth. They are a tool to get counts on infestations in different areas of the county.
The bands will be distributed to the citizens of Rappahannock the end of April. Watch the newspaper for place and dates.
