Oatlands Plantation Opens

Oatlands Plantation will open the 1985 visitors season on Sunday, March 31, with its annual Loudoun County Day. Puppet shows, hay rides, jazz music, sheep dog herding and craft demonstrations, folk dancing and house and garden tours are some of the activities scheduled to appeal to all ages. If the weather permits, tethered hot air balloon rides will be available at a reasonable price, as will a variety of refreshments. Hours on opening day are 12 to 5 p.m. Loudoun County residents are admitted free. Admission for non-residents is $4, adults; $3, senior adults and youth 7-18; free for children 6 and under.
