Democrats have an opportunity on Saturday, March 30 at the Court House at 12 noon to participate in the selection of a candidate for governor to oppose the nominee of the Republicans in November.
Lt. Governor Richard Davis has organized a campaign across the state to win that nomination. Delegates to a nominating convention will be selected at a mass meeting in which all registered voters willing to indicate they are Democrats are free to participate. Rappahannock will select four delegates.
Dick Davis is a former successful mayor of Portsmouth, Va. He has been successful as well at a number of business undertakings and when asked by the party to be its state chair, he responded and worked effectively to unify the party. Following that, he was elected along with Robb and Baliles to
