“Jack and the Dentist’s Daughter,” about a clever young man in small-town America of the 1930s, won a cash award at the Sinking Creek Film Festival of 1985 in Nashville, Tenn,,
and also the $1,000 award at the 1985 Atlanta (Ga.) Film and Video Festival for the “best Southern work exhibiting greatest technical excellence.”
The Fauquier Chapter of the American Red Cross will sponsor a showing of both films on April 12 at the John Barton Payne Building in Warren ton at 6:30 p.m. Donation will be $5 for adults and $3 for children.
