Apple juice can be used in a variety of ways to liven up your favorite food or beverage. Be adventurous!
Use apple juice over favorite fruit slices; use in gelatin instead of cold water; combine with pineapple juice for a fruity punch; add apple juice to oatmeal with a bit of cinnamon for a new “appley” taste; apple up fruit salads with a masterful dressing of equal parts apple juice and mayonnaise; use apple juice concentrate as an easy glaze for turkey, ham or chicken; mix sour cream and apple juice with finely chopped herbs to make a tasty dip for raw vegetables; prepare corn muffins, biscuits, breads, rolls, pancakes, waffles and omelets using apple juice instead of the usual liquid or thicken apple juice with cornstarch, cool and fold into whipped topping with finely chopped fruits and nuts for a sophisticated apple parfait dessert.
So, start your day with apple juice or even better, serve it cold any time of the day. To help you make the “switch,” here is a VDACS recipe you can try.
