Changes in the State Alcoholic Beverage Control Board s regulations that prohibit happy hours after 9 p.m. and offers of two or more drinks for the price of one went into effect on December 12.
The new happy hour regulation also bans “all-you-can-drink” specials and prohibits happy hoims from being advertisted in the media or on exterior signs.
A new regulation that allows wholesalers to provide routine business entertainment to retailers also goes into effect. In addition, other changes allow the stocking and sale of miniature bottles in hotel rooms and the words “liquor” and “spirits” may be used by mixing beverage licensees in the media and on exterior advertising.
