Bye bye birdie is the 50 s sounding musical featuring a rock ’n roll singer and the teenage girl who wins a Contest to meet him:'The Charles Strouse and Lee Adams musical includes the numbers “Kids,” “A Lot of Livin’ to Do” and “Put on a Happy Face.” The show will run from July 9 through July 20.
“The four shows we have selected deal with different time periods and theatrical styles. All four are great fun, excellent for the entire family, have exciting story lines and beautiful musical scores,” he said.
The productions will be performed in the Armstrong Auditorium on the campus of Shenandoah College and Conservatory in Winchester.
Gift certificates are now on sale for season subscriptions for the upcoming summer season. Friday and Saturday evenings are $30.60, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday evenings are $27.50 and Wednesday and Saturday matinees are $27.50 for the season.
Matinee performances will be given each Saturday and the second Wednesday of each run.
