P.T.A. met at the Rappahannock High School on Monday, December 18 at 7:30 p.m. C.R. Johnson president called the meeting to order (and) said that the general opinion of most people in the county had been that having one high school in the county might not work because (1) the children from the different schools might not get along together (2) the building wasinot suitable.
iflr. Llewellan of Washington,; D.C. purchased the Bennett property at the auction sale held Tuesday, December 19, in front of the Courthouse in Washington. The final bid was $20,000. This property was formally known as the Silvey Place. It is located next to Jenkin’s Garage in Amissville, on Route 211, and the farm has an acreage of 190.8
