In the face of sharp objections
from a state Health Department official over a two-and-ahalf year time limitation, the Rappahannock Board of Zoning Appeals last Thursday approved a permit to operate a landfill on eight acres owned by Clifton Clark on Rudasill’s Mill Road. Members of the BZA were equally sharp in their comments in rejecting Hie arguments of the Health Department spokesman, Robert Foreman, the regional supervisor of landfill operations. They told him to prepare his engineering specifications for the time limitation of Clark’s contract with Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Updike of Community Trash Inc., and that if he was unhappy with that, it was just too bad.
