Agricultural Extension agents believe vegetables might put some money back into the pockets of farmers in the northern Piedmont region.
On Feb. 4, extension agents from nine counties met at the Northern District Extension Office in Warrenton to determine if farmers counties should pool resources and form a growers’ cooperative. The Northern District extends from Albemarle to Loudoun and includes Fauquier, Culpeper and Rappahannock counties.
