Brereton “Brue” Jones Wood, 73, died Feb. 9 at his home in Front Royal.
Mr. Wood was born May 21, 1913, at Ben Venue, the son of the late Charles Dudley and Lucy Henry Wood.
He had lived for most of his life in Rappahannock County, where he was a farmer and fruit grower for many years. He was a member of the Flint Hill United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Flint Hill Volunteer Fire Department.
