This amendment was not and is not intended as an act of punishment but as an act of reform to unite two organizations together so that they may continue to provide services to and gather support from the community in the best possible way.
A new committee is being formed in the department that will be titled “Amissville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary.” This committee will consist of both men and women to be involved in all fund-raising activities that directly support the Fire Department.
The Amissville Volunteer Fire Department invites any and all members of the Ladies Auxiliary who wish to continue to provide support, time and effort as they have done in the past to apply for direct individual membership into the Department.
