Literacy Volunteers to meet
The Rappahannock Literacy Volunteers will meet on Friday, May 20, at 9:30 a.m. at Trinity Church. The meeting will be a training session for new volunteers. All are welcome. For other information call Margaret Gottlieb at 547-3934.
Ruritan auction planned
Amissville Ruritan auction is scheduled for May 21 at 4 p.m. at Stuart’s Field on Rt. 211, between Hackley’s Store and the United Methodist Church. Consignments and donated items are urgently needed. To assist in the preparation of a consolidated list of sale items, it would be appreciated if calls could be received by Sunday, May 15. However, items will be accepted through day of sale. Cloverbud camp planned
4-H Camp Cloverbud will be held Aug. 5-6 at the 4-H Center near Front Royal. This camp is designed to introduce 6, 7 and 8-year-olds who have not been to camp before to the overnight camping experience. The cost is $25. Registration information can be obtained by contacting the Rappahannock Extension Office at 675-3619.
