The volunteers are members of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program, sponsored by the Community Services Center. The launch followed a recognition luncheon at Commonwealth Park. Kathie Rushlow, RSVP director, spoke of “thousands of hours of caring and sharing,” referring to their work with the disabled, poor, mentally ill and handicapped residents of Planning District 9.
