Auctioneer Col. Tom Reese of Culpeper will conduct the sale, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, at the Washington Fire Hall on Rt. 211 business. “Rain or shine, ready or not, the auction will be held,” a Lions Club member added.
“Come early,” he said. “We expect a large crowd. And plan to stay late, there will be plenty of comfortable chairs for the tired of feet.”
For last-minute information about pick-ups, delivery or donations, contact Martin Woodard (9878546) or Kermit Weakley (675-3246 or 675-3615). Donations may be delivered to the fire hall after 4 p.m. Thursday.
“Enjoy the day,” the club spokesman said. “Bring your friends — you will help a good cause. Remember, we, the Lions Club, serve our community.”
