With its annual auction set for Saturday, the county’s Lions Club members are busy picking up donated items. However, they are still actively soliciting additional contributions.
“Any usable, saleable items are welcome," a club spokesman said, “except food and clothing.” The club will also accept cash contributions, he added, which are fully tax deductible.
This year the club has earmarked the proceeds from the auction for the purchase and installation of a scoreboard for the Rappahannock County High School’s new gymnasium.
