Start the day with a challenging game of checkers under a shady tree, join in the competition of hay bale tossing, try your luck at horseshoe pitching, be a spectator, or just wander along the tranquil creek that winds its way through the park. Ricky Van Shelton is relatively new to the national country music scene but his first big hit “Crime of Passion” took him to the top of the charts and he’s stayed up there with such hits as “Somebody Lied” and “Life Made Her That Way.” He was voted Top New Male Vocalist by the Academy of Country Music. Ricky is a native Virginian, so he should feel right at home on the stage at the Bull Run Country Jamboree.
Highway 101 is the melodic combination of Paulette Carlson, Cactus Moses, Curtis Stone and Jack Daniels. Their talents lie not only in the singing of great country music but also in song writing.
