Along with filing an application for that permit, she proposed — and then withdrew — a zoning ordinance amendment to allow by right up to three family subdivisions from all parcels except those previously created through the family transfer exception.
The commissioners recommended denial of Mrs. Doares’ special exception permit but they also authorized Zoning Administrator John McCarthy to draft and formally submit his suggestions for (1) limiting family transfers to one per parcel in any calendar year and (2) requiring notice to other affected landowners (whose properties were part of the same parent parcel in 1962) of such transfer.
Those amendments will be considered by the Planning Commission at a public hearing July 20.
