Church honors teacher’s retirement

The First Baptist Church; Washington, will host a retirement celebration Sunday, July 17, at 6 p.m. to honor former educator Mrs. Dorothy Butler. Long time friend and colleague Mrs. Lillian Sloane will be guest speaker for the evening. The program will also feature music by the Slaughter family of Culpeper and David Clanagan of Washington. All former students of Mrs. Butler are encouraged to attend. The evening is sponsored by the Dearing Gospel Chorus.

Vacation Bible School at Hopehill

Vacation Bible School will be held July 11-15 from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at Hopehill Baptist Church, Castleton. Rev. David Farless will preser* an exciting program with puppets, gospel magic, Ralph the Memory Dog and good preaching. Everyone from 2 to 92 is invited to attend. Revival at Macedonia

A revival will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church July 11-15 at 7:30 each evening. Rev. Clifford Tyler of Chicago, 111., will be the guest speaker. Everyone is welcome.
