The message from the President General, Mrs. Eldred M..Yochim, read by Mrs. Thomas Eastham, urged all members to celebrate Constitution Week, this year being Sept. 17-23.
Mrs. Crigler introduced the new chairmen of the committees, including a new committee this year — “Literacy Challenge,” the purpose of which is not to try something new but to pursue and coordinate what is already being done about illiteracy.
The budget, presented by the treasurer, Mrs. Z.R. Gutowski, was approved unanimously.
The next meeting, to be held Oct. 11 at Lake of the Woods, will be a Centennial Jubilee luncheon.
