Mary Jordan

Mrs. Mary Jane Jordan, 76, of Aldephi, Md., a former resident of Flint Hill, died on Sept. 21 at Manor Cave, Wheaton, Md.

Mrs. Jordan was a native of Rappahannock County, bom in Flint Hill, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth Ausberry.

She is survived by four daughters Mary J. Tinch of Hyattsville, Md., Carolyn Brown of Flint Hill, Virginia, C. Brown and Demetrice Jordan, both of Adelphi, Md., 11 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are one sister Catherine Kilby of Happy Creek; three brothers John Ausberry, the Rev. Carter Ausberry and Edgar Ausberry, all of Strasburg and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill, the Rev. James A. Price, officiated. Interment was in Good Hope Cemetery, Front Royal.

Arrangements were handled by Ames Funeral Home in Manassas.
