REGARDING THE J.F.K, PAINTING: A Few more points which we believe weigh heavily in favor of the authenticity of the painting:
1) Timothy Reardon's wife called the auction from D.C. (Timothy "Ted' Reardon was special assistant to JFK at the.White House.) Reardon's son, Timothy Reardon, Jr., is now an Assistant State's Attorney. Mrs. Reardon stated to Eileen Gunther, by phone, that the younger Tim had owned a painted portrait of J.F.K. which she had not seen in years. She made an appointment to see the painting but, unaccountably, did not keep it This occurred right before the painting's initial offering 2) The gpllery was offered $50,000. After the last auction for the painting by "Marion Barry's Former Lawyer"... 3) We have been offered a sizeable amount by the representative of a third party to sell the painting outright without offering it to the public on October 1, 1989... 4) The Bureau of Indian Affairs told the gallery that they "Have been instructed" to offer us no further assistance with our research pertaining to Raymond Timothy Ironteeth... 5) No paintings by Kennedy are now on display at the JFK museum in Dorchester, Mass. Nor have they been since our initial inquiries prior to the first offering of the JFK Self Portrait? On January 1, 1988... 6) Other facts given to us in confidence also favor the painting as being authentic... THIS PAINTING HAS VALUE. WE BELIEVE IT IS REAL
