Heritage Ball
at Leaf Fest
A new event is being planned for the Nineteenth Annual Festival of Leaves, a spokesman for the festival announced last week.
The Warren Heritage Society is sponsoring a Heritage Ball on Oct. 13 at Bowling Green Country Club from 6:30 till midnight. Festivities get underway with a social hour from 6:30 to 7:30 at which time a buffet dinner will be served. At 9 p.m. the band “Fine Print” will begin performing a variety of dance music till midnight.
As an additional feature of the Heritage Ball, seven Virginia vacation packages will be given away throughout the evening. First prize is a Christmas in Williamsburg which includes a two night stay at the Williamsburg Inn, meals and tour. The second prize will be a seaside adventure at the Tides Inn Resort in Irvington. From the seashore to the mountains, the third prize will be a vacation trip to Wintergreen Resort.
There will be four additional prizes for Bed and Breakfast vacations, .including Balcony Downs Plantation in Glasgow, River Front House in Matthews, Caledonia Farms in Flint Hill, and Chester House.*
Funds raised from this event go to the operation of the Warren Heritage Society, the furnishing of Belle Boyd Cottage, and promoting the work of the Heritage Society in the community.
