Betty Jane Kid well of Castleton and Andrew Kirby Pratt of Boston were united in marriage on July 29 at Forest Grove Baptist Church. The double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Sidney Rodriquez.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Kidwell, Jr. of Castleton. The groom is the son of Mrs. Jewell Ball of Charlottesville and the late Richard L. Pratt.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a formal gown of satin featuring leg of mutton sleeves and a fitted bodice embellished with iridescent sequins and pearls. The gown was accented with bows and featured a deep V back. The full skirt flowed into a cathedral length train with a border of scalloped lace edging the hemline. She wore a fingertip veil which fell from a crowm ring covered with sequins and pearls.
The bride carried a cascading bouquet of fuchsia and white roses accented with ivy and baby’s breath.
Ginger Callahan was matron of honor.
Sherri Kidwell, sister of the bride, served as maid of honor.
Bridesmaids were Paula Dellinger, cousin of the bride, and Jennifer Moyles.
They wore rose tea-length satin dresses.
