Strother
Kenneth Meredeth Strother, 56, of Strasburg, died Sept. 22 in Winchester Medical Center.
The funeral was conducted Sept. 25 at the Macedonia Baptist Church at Flint Hill by the Rev. Howard R. Frye. Burial was in Good Hope Cemetery in Front Royal.
Mr. Strother was bom Aug. 23, 1933 in Strasburg, the son of the late Matthew A. Strother and Betty Elizabeth Scott Strother. He was retired from the Abex Corp: He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Flint Hill.
Surviving are his wife, Rochella Alsberry Strother; nine daughters, Betty Strother, Minnett Strother, Lillian J. Thomas, Janet Roberts, Kim Brown, Victoria Curry and Christina Strother all of Strasburg, Karen Strother of Winchester and Terry Warner of Linden; one son, Gregory Alsberry of California; seven brothers, Fred Strother, Shirley Strother, Richard Strother, and Randolph Strother, all of Strasburg, William Strother of Woodstock, Tim Strother of Atlanta, Ga. and Joseph Strother of Pennsylvania; two sisters, Inez Brown of Washington, D.C. and Anna Smith of Winchester; and 14 grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Todd Williams, Charles Harris, Donnie Holsinger, Warded Russell, Melvin Jordan and Morgan Payne. Honorary pallbearers were deacons of the Macedonia Baptist Church.
