Apple Pizza Pie 11/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt 1/2 cup shortening 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1/4 cup ice water 1/2 cup non-dairy powdered coffee creamer 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar 1/2 cup granulated sugar 1/3 cup sifted all-purpose flour 1/4 tsp. salt 1 tsp. ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. ground nutmeg 1/4 cup butter 6 cups peeled apple slices (1/2 inch thick) 2 tbsps. lemon juice Mix the 1 1/4 cups flour and 1 tsp. salt; cut in shortening until crumbly. Add cheese. Sprinkle water over mixture gradually; shape into a ball. Roll pastry to 15-in. circle on floured surface. Place on baking sheet and turn up edge. Combine coffee creamer, sugars, the 1/3 cup flour, 1/4 tsp. salt and spices. Sprinkle half the mixture over pastry. Cut butter into remaining mixture until crumbly. Arrange apple slices overlapping in circles on crust. Sprinkle with lemon juice and the sugar crumbs. Bake at 450 degrees for 30 minutes or until apples are tender. Serve warm. Frosted Apple-Raisin Pie 3/4 cup granulated sugar 2 tbsps. flour 1/8 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon 6 cups sliced peeled tart apples 1/2 cup raisins 2 tbsps. orange juice 3 tbsps. butter or margarine Pastry for 2-crust 9-in. pie Orange frosting Combine sugar, flour, salt and cinnamon; mix with apples and raisins. Turn into pastry lined 9-in. pie pan. Sprinkle with orange juice, and dot with butter. Adjust top crust and flute edges; cut vents in top to allow steam to escape. Bake at 400 degrees for 40 minutes or until crust is browned and apples are tender. Spread frosting over hot pie.
