MECHANIC A -01611 Our Warrenton Residency Shop is looking for a qualified individual to repair and maintain highway equipment and state owned vehicles to ensure safe operation. Will troubleshoot, overhaul, repair and rebuild gasoline and diesel engines and other components,- inspect and perform preventive maintenance on vehicles, perform some welding,- prepare reports, and other related duties. Must have knowledge of general shop practices, diagnostic and repair techniques; and skill in mechanical repair of engines, transmissions, differentials, and rather components The successful candidate will have the ability to perform heavy manual !abor, operate engine analyzer, welder, and wheel balancer and other shop equipment; read, write, and perform arithmetic calculahons, and become certified as a state inspector A valid Va operator's license is required. Salary $ 15,661 -$21,393 with excellent benefits

Must have skill in keyboarding. The successful candidate will have the ability to deal effectively with the public, collect and assemble information, and follow oral and written rules and regulations.
