Increasingly I see writers on public affairs and public figures, such as President Bush, advocating capital punishment. I define capital punishment as legalized killing or authorized first degree murder. One of the reasons I oppose the death penalty is that it is political in character and as such, subject to abuse. But that is only one of the reasons.
How many people who advocate official murder consider its history?
