No appointment was made to the ARB by Jfhe council, although Mrs. Willis said she intends to nominate architect Whayne Haffler, a resident of Flint Hill and presently a member of its advisory pool, for the position.

Advance ticket sales for the 19th Annual Festival of Leaves in Front Royal began on Sept. 18 and continues through Oct. 6.
Tickets will be available at Warren County schools, area banks and merchants, the Chamber of Commerce Office, and the headquarters of the Warren Heritage Society at 101 Chester Street. Adult tickets will be $2.50 and student tickets $1 during this advance sale period. After Oct. 6 adult tickets will be $3 and student tickets $1.50.
The Block Ticket can be used for all festival activities both days of the festival. This year the Block Ticket can be used to get into the Landmark Art Show, the Royal Oak Craft Show, the Antique Quilt and Textile Show in Belle Boyd Cottage, the exhibits in Ivy Lodge, and the Warren Rifles Confederate Museum.
The ticket can also be used to receive a discount of $1 for entrance into Skyline Caverns. Downtown merchants displaying a fall leaf on their door will offer a 10 percent discount on purchases for those having a Block Ticket.
Without the Block Ticket an entrance fee of $1 will be charged at the Art Show, Craft Show, Belle Boyd Cottage, and Ivy Lodge. The regular entrance fee will be charged at the Warren Rifles Confederate Museum and Skyline Caverns and no discounts will be offered for nonticket holders.
