The 1990 Babe Ruth Little League season officially got underway Monday evening following the dedication of the newly completed Stuart Field in Amissville. ^■‘TftrMghnghref the' pi-hgthm was * the presentation of roses to Mrs. L.B. Stuart, who along with her late husband, Capt. L.B. Stuart, donated the land on which to construct the field. Following the dedication, Mrs. Stuart threw out the ceremonial first pitch to Kevin Jolliffe, the Mets’ starting catcher.
