Tara Beth Fisher, daughter of Brad and Dawn Fisher of Washington, was graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Richmond on May 6 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.
While a student at UR Miss Fisher was elected to Phi Beta Kappa national academic honorary society, Tri Beta biology honor society, Phi Eta Sigma Freshman honor society, and Eta Sigma Gamma health professions honor society. She was named to the Dean’s List and listed in Outstanding College Students of America.
Tara traveled to Moscow and Leningrad, USSR, on tour with the University Choir, and was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority. She was a volunteer in the physical therapy department of the Henrico Doctors Hosptial and also served an internship in the physical therapy department of the Children’s Hospital of Richmond.
In August Tara will enter the Graduate School of Allied Health Professions to study toward a masters degree in physical therapy at the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University.
Miss Fisher is a 1986 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
