NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC OF AN APPLICATION BY CENTRAL TELEPHONE COMPANY OF VIRGINIA FOR A CERTIFICATE OF PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY TO PROVIDE INTEREXCHANGE TELEPHONE SERVICE WITHIN VIRGINIA WITH RATES TO BE DETERMINED COMPETITIVELY
On April 5, 1990, Central Telephone Company of Virginia i Centel > filed an application with the Virginia State Corporation Commission for a certificate of public convenience and necessity authorizing it to provide interexchange long distance service within Virginia and for its rates to be determined competitively.
The State Corporation Commission will schedule a public hearing on the application of Centel if sufficient objections are lodged against the application. Copies of the application are available for public inspection in the Commission’s Document Control Center, located on Floor B-l of the Jefferson Building, Bank and Governor Streets, Richmond, Virginia, open Monday through Friday 8:15 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. or can be ordered from Centel’s attorneys, Stephen H. Watts, Ii, Esquire and Jacquelyn E. Stone, Esquire, McGuire, Woods, Battle & Booth, One James Center, Richmond, Virginia 23219.
Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the application of Centel should submit the objection in writing to George W. Bryant, Jr, Clerk, Document Control Center, P.O. Box 2118, Richmond, Virginia 23216 on or before June 29, 1990 and should refer to Case No. PUC900011.
