Edith C. Wharton
Edith Compton Wharton, 83, o( Arlington, died May 13 at Arlington Hospital.
Mrs. Wharton was bom in Culpeper and was raised in Amissville.
Survivors include one daughter, Peggy Wharton Duggin of Mt. Vernon, Virginia and one grandson, Michael Wharton Duggin, also of Mt. Vernon.
Funeral services were held on May 15 at Ives Pearson Funeral Home in Arlington. Interment followed at National Memorial Park.
