Bloodmobile

exceeds quota

To the editor:

On behalf of the Rappahannock County Extension Homemaker Clubs, we want to sincerely thank all the residents of Rappahannock County who supported the American Red Cross Bloodmobile on May 9. We are pleased to report that it was a success!!!

For the record: Our goal was 35 pints. We had 42 donors; three were deferred, resulting in a total of 39 pints collected, which is four pints over our goal. There were two firsttime donors! Great!

t)avid Riedel of Washington received his six-galloon pin. Congratulations David!

The Extension Homemakers are pleased that we can sponsor the Bloodmobile in Rappahannock County twice a year as a service to our community. But it would not be possible without all the loyal donors who support the Bloodmobile. To you we say a great big “Thanks!”

We also want to thank the Washington Volunteer Fire Department for the use of its facility and the Rapphannock News for its great publicity.
