Josephine Nikolakaki of Thessaloniki, Greece and Washington, Va., was graduated Magna Cum Laude from Longwood College in Farmville, on May 12 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Languages.
While a student at Longwood, Josephine was elected to Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society, Phi Delta Pi French Honor Society, and received the 1990 French Award.
Josephine is a 1986 graduate of Rappahannock High School where she was an exchange student for two years in the Youth for Understanding International Exchange,
Her American host parents are Brad and Dawn Fisher of Washington. In September she will enter graduate school at Ohio University in Athens, Ohio where she will be a teacher of undergraduate French while pursuing a masters degree.
