I would like to publish the names of all the students who participated because we, as a community, should honor these students. We like to publish the names of those who have allegedly done something wrong, often giving the impression that teenagers are a sorry lot. In truth, the majority of them are contributing members to our county, most have jobs and care deeply about their future, the environment, and his or her place in helping to make this a better world.
I only wish more had come out to pay homage to them and to their teachers, Lee Buratti of Wakefield and Jon Heddleston of Rappahannock. Both of these English teachers provided the kind of environment, stimulation, and thought provoking atmosphere in which such creativity flowered and came to fruition.
