Sperryville will hold its annual Spring Festival on Memorial Day! weekend, May 26, 27 and 28. Attrac-; tions will include horse and buggy; rides down old Main St., arts and 1 crafts demonstrations, the Palmetto ■ Sharpshooters Civil War re-enac- ■ tors, antiques, plenty of food, live music and entertainment for the en-; tire family.
The follwing businesses will be participating in the festivities Sperryville Antique Market, That Sperryville Emporium, The Faith Mountain Company, The Church Mouse, Southern Drawl Artworks, Country Manor, Sperryville Deal, Parkway Gift Shop, Oldway Craft Village, Country Home Antiques, The Annex, Elmer’s Antiques, Rockland Orchards, Woodsmoke Cafe, Horseshoe Hills, Glassworks Gallery and Four Winds Farm.
The Sperryville Bridge Club was entertained on Friday night at the home of Mrs. Miriam Reeve in Culpeper. Others playing in addition to Mrs. Reeve were Mrs. Lucia Kilby, Mrs. Edna Metzinger, Mrs. Mary Q. Snead, Mrs. Eleanor Cordle, Mrs. - Helen Brown, Mrs. Lucy Ann Maeyer, Mrs. Dot Estes, Mrs. Cotton Miller, Mrs. Celine Siira, Mrs. V Elisabeth Johnson and Mrs. Margie - White. ’
Prizes were awarded to Mrs.t Reeve, Mrs. Cordle and Mrs. Miller. •
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Lindsey of Casey Key, Florida and Mrs. Cassie Robbins of Boyce spent the weekend with Dr. and Mrs. John P. Snead.' Mrs. Lindsey has remained for the week.
Mrs. Ida Cornell celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday at her home with a family gathering. Approximately 60 guests attended which included her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. A good time was enjoyed by all.
