He was borp,cAugust 7, 1952 in Culpeper, Virginia to the late John May and Bertha Garr May. He is the brother of the late Otis B. May.
He was an Engineer for ITT Tevas in Ashville, N.C. and a member of the Alum Springs Baptist Church.
He is survived by his mother Bertha Garr May of Culpeper; one sister, Hazel Dodson of Boston; four brothers. Robert W. May, Jesse H. May, Charles E. May and Danny R. May, all of Culpeper and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held May 16 at the Clore Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Farrar officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.
The pallbearers were John Davis, Charlie Russell, Ed Anderson, George Fotenos, Billy Barber and Chuck May.
