One teacher teaches elementary art and provides direct instruction for elementary gifted students. She also oversees the gifted program at both schools.
Dr. Gangel has proposed to cover this teaching assignment by replacing the part-time teacher’s aide who works with pre-school handicapped students with a volunteer, freeing the aide up for other assignments, by having the pre-school handicapped teacher handle other teaching assignments in the afternoon and by having a high school teacher cover some morning classes at the elementary school.
